Fun with Chalk.

This week I have been on a major kick to try out one of my 3000 pins and/or other pins I have oogled over everyday. Now I'm not even sure if I actually pinned something related to chalk art and photography, but I have see this a bazillion times on good ole' web (including Pinterest). It always makes me smile when I see it and I always think to myself, "Oh, such a good/cute/awesome/creative idea and I must give that a try". Today as the kiddos and I were playing outside, I found a brand, spank'n new box of chalk, perfect for giving this a whirl. The kiddos were into except Owen had a hard time laying still and laying still in the right position long enough for me to snap a good picture (hence, why he is not in these).

chalk + art + kidlets = I like!

They're Mine.

When my boys are together, they may act like little puppies. Running, chasing, rolling, playing, jumping, wrestling, fighting etc.

But, they're my little puppies.

and I love them.

Adelyn: 2 months

Addy is now 2 months old. We had our little photo shoot this afternoon to document her birthday. Let's see what's going on with her....Addy is an awesome eater. Although she primarily nurses from me, she also has no problem drinking from a bottle as well. Now, I have been noticing small (and super cute, of course) roles on her arms and legs and dimples on her knuckles and elbows. However, I couldn't believe it when I got out the 2 month onsie and it just barely fit her (tight..skin tight). Two words: Time Fly.

Anyway, Addy is just a sweet joy.  She is starting to smile and coo, which is simply the best in my book. Tonight after her bath I was lotioning her up and I began massaging her hands. This actually made her slightly giggle and we got her to do it a few times. It was music to my ears. She loves to bounce and she loves taking a bath. She is not too fond of her car seat still, but we are slowly figuring this out. Addy is a great sleeper (knocking on wood as I type that) This is a whole new world for Pat and I, but we will take it after having two boys who never slept until at least one year old. And speaking of her brothers, they are absolutely, positively in love with her and can't get enough of her. But, they are adjusting to how much time their Momma needs to spend with her. It's hard on them at times, so we are working on this as well.

Progress: Addy's Room

We have been putting together Addy's room little by little. I'm so happy to say that in the past couple of days, we have made significant progress (due to Pat being on vacation this week). There is still a lot that needs to be done, but it's mostly the primping. Not gonna lie, putting together a super girlie, pinkalicious room for Addy has been quite fun. I'm very much enjoying the process. Now, I just can't wait to have it complete for her.

Summer Sickies.

It happened. Jack's summer fun finally caught up with him and he got "the sickies".

After giving 150% everyday sans a nap since school got out, his little body just couldn't take it anymore. He started complaining of a headache, which seemed to go away with Ibuprofen, so we thought that is all it was. We continued on with our weekend plans with a trip up to my in-law's cabin. As we packed up the car, I did have a gut feeling that was telling me that maybe going wasn't such a good idea. I should have listened to it because as soon as we got to the cabin, Jack felt worse. I'll spare the gruddy details, but they do involve the word projectile. Anyway, he then got worse by the hour. We decided to just head back home the next day because it's no fun to be sick and it's darn right awful to be sick and not be at home in your own bed (even though he loves his Grandma's cuddles)

The one thing he requested to do before we left was go on a pontoon ride. We didn't make it very far before he requested to back home. Poor buddy!

By this afternoon (48 hour later), Jack ate two grilled cheese and apple sandwiches for lunch and was running around the house playing with Owen. Two classic signs that Jack is on the mend.
Thank goodness!
