A Pool Flashback

We bought a pool at Target yesterday. We can't seem to keep a pool in good shape for more than one season (moving doesn't help either). It brought me right back to this place that we were at two years ago. And now here we are having the same kind of fun, but with much bigger splashes and water guns.

I feel like it has been a bit boring around here lately. I apologize for this, but life is consumed with our Addy Bug and her big brothers (and summer weather). Hopefully, this won't be for long...the boring part that is.

How do I get dinner prepared with three kids?

Well today it was this...I wore Addy in my Ergo while the boys entertained themselves with Photo Booth. We also may have watched this video a few times because the song is uber catchy and I just may love me some Jimmy Fallon (thanks for the tip Keefe).

When did this happen?

When did Owen stop being my baby and start being a little boy?

This just seemed to happen overnight when Adelyn was born.

When I look at this picture of Owen from today, it reminds me how fast time flies. Being a stay-at-momma can be difficult and monotomous and isolating at moments. But then there are those moments that are amazing and heart melting and wonderful. These moments seem to trump the hard stuff and remind me that this time with my little ones is so very precious. Before I know it, my kiddos will be big and I might just be wishing to have these precious moments back.

Summer is in full swing...

and it's keeping us mighty busy.
Oh and our new baby girl Addy, she keeps us quite busy all by her itty-bitty self.

Hopefully I will be back tomorrow with a catch-up post...hopefully.

He's Three.

And he sure is giving his Momma a run for her money.
Our old pediatrician referred to this age as the "Trying 3's"

Yep, I agree.

Wearing Stripes and Posing.

I had forced bribed my boys put on some cute summer clothes and I spent about 5 minutes taking their pictures. I hadn't done this since last September and I am in major need of updated photos of them around here. It worked..it really worked! I am shocked but after only shooting for a few minutes and maybe saying the word "poop" a few times, I got a few really great pictures of each of them.

Adelyn: 1 month old

Adelyn is officially one month old today. She is absolutely precious to us. Baby Addy (as her brothers call her) gets tons of loves from her brothers, who are always telling me, "Ohhhh, I love her so much Mommy". She is eating and growing like a champ while she is sleeping mediocre. She likes taking baths, cuddling and her Daddy's bounce. She dislikes the process of getting into her car seat and oh, does it get ugly. I think she looks just like Jack when he was a baby, but everyone else says she looks like Pat. We will see.

I got these adorable monthly onsies as a gift from my neighbor (Thanks Kristin!) How cute are they?!? I had been brainstorming and searching Pinterest for ideas of how to document Adelyn's growth and I kept coming back to this idea. So fun, isn't it! How perfect then it was when she got these onsies.

Painted Flower Jars

In the midst of my sleepless doldrums, I decided I needed a quick project to brighten my day. The project just had to be these super cute painted flower jars I've been seeing on Pinterest as of late. It truly can't get much easier than old jars, acrylic paint and flowers. Oh and I just love to buy flowers at Trader Joe's, that alone always makes me smile.
Looking at these pictures, I kinda wish I would have used all turquoise blue paint. However, this is the beauty of such an easy and cheap project, I can change it up whenever.

I'm exhausted.

I have not slept for more than three hours straight in the last four weeks, I've only slept in the sitting position for the other sporadic four hours, I'm existing on fumes (and lots of love), I sometimes feel like I'm being pulled in fifteen directions, my house is a disaster, my car looks like a box of Chedder Bunnies exploded inside, I'm forgetting things constantly, my to-do list grows by the minute,  I have made a permanent butt mark on my couch from the hours spent nursing Adelyn, I have more reality shows on my DVR than I'd like to admit (again from the amount of time spent feeding Adelyn), and I may have only cried a handful of times.
I love these three little faces (and Pat) so incredibly much. I know that each day we will make progress, we will figure out our new routine, and things will get easier.

They have to...right?
