Addy had her 1 year professional pictures taken just as she was turning 13 months old. We had to reschedule this session about 3 times due to the longest winter ever/rain/cold/yuck. When the day finally came for these pictures, it turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day and Addy was totally into having her picture taken. Win-Win. These pictures were taken by Chris and Kristy of Journey Photography and I think they did a fabulous job!

Addy had no idea what to do with this massive cupcake. She kept trying to tip the glass plate over until I scooped a little of the frosting onto my finger for her to taste. Then she realized the yumminess she had right in front of her and she didn't hold back.

How did this happen so unbelievably fast?

Ta-Da!

It was Olympic Day at gymnastics this morning. At the end, each of the kiddos got to come out and perform a forward or backward roll and then receive a gold medal. Owen did a modified backward roll and then very proudly received his medal. He wore it all day and then even fell asleep wearing it.

He also got a haircut today. He begged for a buzz cut while I just wanted a trim. We compromised and got it cut real short. He was happy and I was happy. Win-Win. This Momma is just not quite ready to party with his luscious locks.

I cannot believe that my Addy is officially a big girl one year-old today!!

We FINALLY got to play outside..

in the sun

and

it made us all happy and silly.

We hightailed it outside after dinner so we could play, swing and explore our backyard. It's been too long Mother Nature...too long! I dusted off my camera and took some pictures. It felt so good, I might have to do it more now that the weather looks to be getting nicer..I so hope!

Our family vacation to Sandestin, FL.

We spent the last week in Sandestin, Florida. It was our first time to this part of Florida and we chose it based on some really great things some of our friends and family had told us about the area. Well they were so right and we had an absolutely wonderful time. I truly could go on and on about how much fun we had and how much there is to do there for families. Let's just say we are already talking about going back next year and I will let the pictures do the talking!
